24 Hour Recovery - - Can Anyone Have It?

Achieving a better recovery for patients has been our focus - our goal - our passion for over 15 years. We live in a world, in our practice and for our patients, where being able to have breast surgery in the morning, leave the surgery center in the middle of the day, take a 2 hour nap, eat real food, take an 800 mg Ibuprofen and then start moving your arms above your head - set of 10 every 30 minutes, shower, wash and dry your hair, unload the dishwasher, bathe your babies with NO BRAS, NO BANDAGES, NO DRAINS, NO TAPE OR STRAPS, NO BRUISING, NO PAIN PUMPS OR PILLS is a realitly. We produce this type of recovery for 96% of our patients.

Patients love being able to not fear their recovery. They love that they only need to take one day out of their lives and schedule to do this for themselves and know that they won't have to explain what they are doing to their neighbors or coworkers. Hubbies and significant others love it because they don't have to worry about you and can have fun with you rather than nurse you for a week like their buddies had to do with their wives! It is a great feeling to know you have gone through surgery that morning and yet you are up and out and shopping that afternoon - I think it is tremendously empowering!

But the best thing that has emerged about this dramatic improvement in the recovery process for breast implant patients is that we are seeing a drastically lower risk and rate of capsular contracture in our patients who experience the 24 Hour Recovery and who are resuming normal activities immediately following their surgery! To me, that is the true silver lining to this already amazing opportunity! If you can feel better faster, enjoy your new breasts and reduce the risk of re-operation long term - - what a country!

As I visit other implant forums, I am running into many visitors that either did not have this experience or have been told it can't be done so much that I am having a hard time making believers out of them - - yet this is the norm in our practice (and a few select other surgeons in the country who have chosen to produce this better result for patients!) Over 400,000 women chose to have breast implants last year - I would just like to share information with those seeking to have it this year, that we can make informed educated decisions and measurement based decisions that will yield better results, lower re-operation rates and you can do this and get up and get out and go Out To Dinner that night! Finally a clinical, verifiable improvement in plastic surgery that helps patients - - why is is so hard to spread the word?
